As part of my research into performance in public space, I invited Imola Nagy (dance) and Michela Filzi (photography) to join me in bringing WILD ACCESS to squares, streets and parks. With our bodies, we moved, breathed and participated in the urban landscape of Berlin Wedding. We observed the particularities of each location and how they were shaped by the architecture, the activities and the people that coexisted there. Many questions came up: who does the space belong to? What do they use it for? What traces of them are left, when it is empty? In considering the dynamism already embedded in these locations, we allowed the nature of the space to inform our movement. We sought to create an exchange with place through the body in motion.
